Dakota NDT Precision Thickness Gauges

Dakota NDT Precision Thickness Gauges

Top-Quality Thickness Gauges for Measuring Thin Objects with High Precision

High Precision for Testing Thin Materials

The Dakota NDT line of Precision Thickness Gauges are second-to-none. In fact, with a precision rating of +/- 0.0001 in 0.001 mm resolution, you'd be hard pressed to find a gauge anywhere else that's more precise, or more accurate. The PMX2 (formerly the PVX) and PZX1 (formerly PZX-7) gauges can all measure materials as thin as 0.006" (0.15mm). They are primarily used in manufacturing to measure thickness of smooth/parallel walled materials such as aircraft skins, turbine blades, tubes, plastic containers, etc. when access to both sides is not practical.

PMX2-DL (Formerly PVX v2.0)

Learn More About the PMX2-DL

The Dakota PMX2-DL is Dakota's flagship precision thickness gauge. 2 Year Limited Warranty. It is used for standard and more difficult applications such as:

  • Measuring on small radii
  • When A Scan echo confirmation is needed
  • Min - Max alarm
  • Differential measurements
  • Easily customized for difficult applications

PZX1 (Formerly PZX-7)

Learn More About the PZX1

The PZX1 is Dakota's general purpose, handheld ultrasonic precision thickness gauge and is used primarily for measuring parallel walled materials with high accuracy. It can measure metals as thin as 0.0006" and plastics as thin as 0.005" with a resolution of +/- 0.0001". 5 Year Limited Warranty.

Applications Include:

  • Sheet Metal
  • Aircraft Skins
  • Glass Sheets
  • Plastic Containers
  • Extrusions, etc.
