The LeCoeur Electronique US-Android is a cutting edge ultrasound device with a single channel to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves. Its very small size and advanced technology allow you to have a unique product for applications like medical ultrasound imaging, weld inspection, composite material inspection and more - all in the palm of your hand. The transmitter can generate pulses with a voltage level and width programmed by the user. A low noise preamplifier combined to a VGA gives a gain range between 0 and 80 dB, and a DAC curve is also available. A 12-bit analog digital converter with a sampling frequency of 80 MHz is then used to digitize ultrasound signals. The device has 2 working modes: Transmission or Reflection. The power supply is delivered by the USB connector of the Android device.
The ultrasonic device is controlled through a free-to-download Android OS app (available here). A variety of controls and settings are available from the main menu - accessible by swiping your finger on the screen from left to right.
