Additional Notes:
Multi-Directional (rotating field) uses a dual output power supply that powers the Coil and Heads from 2 legs of a 3-Phase system, creating a rotating or swinging field that detects cracks and other surface flaws in any orientation in less than the normal inspection time.
Coil - Head Shot Switch (for use with Single Power Supply): Quick and easy switching - when the part is clamped using the clamping lever, current flows through the part. When unclamped, current is directed to the coil.
Frames:
- Standard Frame uses 3.2" x 1.6" aluminum profile (80 x 40 mm) with 1.6" x 1.6" (40 x 40 mm) for legs and lamp frame. Maximum part weight: 77 lbs. (35 kg)
- Heavy Duty Aluminum frame uses 3.2" x 3.2" aluminum profile (80 x 80 mm) for body, legs and lamp frame. Maximum part weight is 154 lbs. (70 kg)
- Special Order Steel frame uses welded steel with maximum part weight of 220 lbs. (100 kg)
PTS MAS Bench units can be powered with:
Conventional AC or AC/HWDC portable power supply.
Plug one side into the ground socket and the other cable to Head Shot or Coil socket. Or, use with the optional Coil - Head Shot Switch. When this Switch is employed and the part is clamped using the clamping lever, current flows to the part. When unclamped, current is directed to the coil.

Duo Power Supply – Two Power supplies in one.
Multi-Directional magnetization using two out of phase circuits creates a rotating or swinging field that detects cracks in any orientation in the same test sequence.
