The Kowolux X5 is a high-end viewer specially designed for evaluation of X-ray films of turbine blades. With a luminance of 630,000 Cd/m2 and a 4.3" x 6" viewing screen, its also suitable for films of weld seams or castings with high optical density. Powerful LEDs and a variety of accessories makes this indestructible, German made film viewer easy to use with a range of films.

  • Corrosion resistant, strong and high quality stainless steel housing
  • Viewing screen is made of crystal glass with 95% translucency and an anti-reflective coating, which is thermally cured
  • Plug-in foot switch – plug screw-secured – operable without foot switch (with optional operation plug)
  • Two controls for brightness - 1%-100%
  • Efficient LEDs - Heat generation and power consumption is reduced by 80% compared to Halogen lamps and is more cost effective with a 40,000 hour lifespan
  • Higher contrast helps inspection personnel to find defects and discontinuities easily without vision fatigue and high luminance makes it possible to view very dark films without destroying them
  • Cooling fan with temperature dependent speed control - low noise level
  • Changeable filter in the cooling air in-let
  • Interchangeable masks for different film sizes
  • Mounting threads in side panels – for mounting loading device for roll films or a densitometer holder
  • Mounting threads in bottom panel – for safe fixing of the viewer on a desk in mobile laboratories
