EchoPure is a water-free, water-soluble ultrasonic couplant that has a broad operating range, is slow drying and provides excellent transducer lubrication. It has low toxicity and is environmentally friendly.

EchoPure is the couplant of choice for Phased Array Manual UT Inspection (PAMUT). EchoPure eliminates dry spots under the wedge and resulting element drop out and improves defect reproducibility. There is no couplant build up which can result in false indications.

EchoPure complies with P91 steel inspection requirements for a water-free couplant. EchoPure is an ideal couplant for very cold inspection and will not frost on test objects causing attenuation at temperatures as low as -60°F (-51°C).

EchoPure is also excellent for ambient and elevated temperature use such as warm welds up to 350°F and on pipe in the desert summer sun, where slow evaporation and long inspection windows are desired.

With its low toxicity, EchoPure is a good choice for inspection in food processing plants.

Three viscosities: Low, medium and high.

Salt Stable. Does not thin with corrosion, roadway or marine salts.

Environmentally Friendly. No formaldehydes, phosphates, silicones, fragrances, nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals, azoles, antimicrobials or fungicides.

Safe: All ingrediants approved for accidental food contact.

Water-free and water-soluble with excellent acoustic properties.

Compatible with most metals, composites and plastics. Mild ferrous corrosion inhibition, less corrosive than water alone.

Auto Ignition Temperature: 700°F (371°C)

Viscosity:
Low: Similar to glycerin
Medium: High viscosity fluid
High: Stiff gel-like fluid (best for high temperature surfaces or ambient).

Halogen & Sulfar: Less then 50 ppm

pH: 8.0 nominal at 20°C

ASTM E519 Conforms: ASTM E519 Standard test method for Mechanical Hydrogen Embrittlement Evaluation of plating processes and service environments.

Complies with water-free requirement when inspecting P91 steel.


Removal: Wipe with a rag or water wash
