Dye penetrant inspection is used to detect flaws that are open to the surface in materials such as metals, glass and other non-porous materials. The process works by capillary action which pulls the penetrant into the open flaw. Penetrants may be visible or fluorescent, water washable, solvent removeable or post-emulsifiable in four sensitivity levels, making this method more complicated then it initially appears to be.
We offer penetrant materials from Sherwin, Met-L-Check and Magnaflux, testing systems from A.I.M. and offer a full line of accessories from various manufacturers.
