The Affri 206 RT Series, 206 EX Series and 250 DRM are semi-automatic hardness testers for Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers hardness testing methods in compliance with ASTM and ISO standards. They offer remarkably high accuracy for their low price point compared to other similar hardness testers, and can test hardness on all metals, including: iron, steel, tempered steel, cast iron, brass, aluminum, copper and metal alloys. They also feature heat treatment, hardening, nitriding, cementing and hardfacing testing as well. Whatever your needs are, the DRM, EX and RT series testers provide an excellent solution.
How it Works:
To perform the test, just place the sample and turn the elevating screw until the sample comes into contact with the indenter. Pull the lever (or push the button) and within seconds results appear. Load forces are applied through a load cell system which eliminates problems associated with dead weight systems on traditional testers. It is not affected by vibration, there is no need for leveling, and it will work in any condition (even inclined) all due to the specially-designed Affri System, where load forces are directly applied along the indenter's axis, without ratios and levers.
Unlike the 250 DRM and 206 EX Series testers, the 206 RT Hardness Tester features a manual display gauge, for instant results without anything digital in between you and highly-accurate results. Don't let its appearance fool you however, it is just as user-friendly, efficient and accurate as the other models, and results can easily be converted using Affri conversion tables. Test load is from 3 to 187.5 kgf (29.42 to 1,839 N)
Easy-to-use and very efficient, these semi-automatic hardness testers have a test load of 3 to 187.5 kgf (29.42 - 1,839 N), and boasts many similarities to the 250 DRM, but with more precise test settings and additional Control Panel functionality. Simultaneous view of two scales is possible here (one of the test and one chosen from a list of conversion scales), as well as simultaneous view of the range of results for the selected statistic. The depth of indentation is 0.01 micron. Additionally, the software controls the entire test, which prevents operator errors.
A fast and easy-to-use semi-automatic hardness tester with test loads of 3 to 250 kgf (29.42 - 2,452 N). The front-facing Main Control LCD Panel has a clear, bright display, and large, legible buttons that make setting up test parameters a breeze. Parameters include: hardness scales, dwell time, conversion data, return stroke, memory and storage of results, statistics, test temperature measure, calibration, system checkup, tolerance range, in-time results average, correction of round surface and automatic evaluation.
