With its radial arm design, the BHD range of Brinell hardness testers is ideal for testing large components in industrial applications

 

The Foundrax X-BHD range of bridge type Brinell hardness testers features three models offering different levels of specification

Purpose built and designed using finite element analysis to ensure that the radial arm can provide long term reliability under the stresses exerted during the test process, the BHD range combines strength and rigidity yet is so easy to operate that the test head can be moved and positioned accurately using just one hand.

 

The entry level BHD is a manually-operated, single test force indentation-only model and uses a removable 134 portable Brinell test head to apply the test force of up to 29,420N (3000kgf). It can be used in conjunction with an external Foundrax BRINscope manual or BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope for indentation measurement.

 

 

The BHD Type B is a higher specification machine using a multi-force closed loop (load cell controlled) servo motor controlled test head that includes automatic timing cycle. It offers indentation only and is ideal for use with an external Foundrax BRINscope manual or BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope for indentation measurement

 

The BHD Type D is the top of the range model, again using a multi-force closed loop (load cell controlled) servo motor controlled test head but it also comes with an integral BRINtronic automatic Brinell microscope for fully automatic operator-independent indentation, optical measurement and recording of the results.
