  • USB-C connectivity w/file system
  • Serial over USB (using CDC class)
  • 4 GB internal SD memory
  • 50dB gain range
  • Screen update rate (25Hz)
  • PRF (pulse repetition frequency 250Hz)
  • High speed scan 200Hz
  • TDG (time dependent gain) - built into selectable probe types
  • Line power available using USB-C to PC or standard power adaptor
  • Quick screen capture to (.tif) file
  • Internal time and date stamp

Pulse-Echo Mode (P-E)

Pulse-Echo (P-E) Mode measures from the surface to the back-wall echo. It is used on bare material to determine wall loss on corroded, eroded and pitted materials. When measuring through a coating the measurement will include an error due to the coating thickness x 2-3 because of the difference in sound velocity between the coating and test material.

1. Couplant   3. Testing Material

Echo-Echo (E-E) Mode

Echo-Echo (E-E) Mode measures from the back-wall echo to its multiple-echo and eliminates the error due to the coating. Measurements can only be made on materials that have parallel surfaces as the multiple-echo will disappear if the back-wall is corroded or pitted.

1. Couplant   2. Coating   3. Test Material

  • Measuring modes: (P-E) pulse-echo (flaws & pits)  & (E-E) echo-echo (thru paint).
  • Pulser: 150 volt square wave pulser.
  • Receiver: Manual or AGC gain, depending on measure mode selected (50 dB gain range).
  • Timing: Precision TCXO timing with single shot 100MHz 8 bit ultra-low power digitizer.
  • Linear time dependent gain (TDG). Built into each transducer type.
  • Memory: 4 gigabytes internal SD card & Alpha numeric data storage format
  • Setups: 64 user custom user-definable setups, factory setups can be edited.
  • Selectable transducer types with built-in path error correction for improved linearity.
  • Alarm Mode: Set hi or lo tolerances with audible beeper and visual LEDs.
  • Scan Mode: Takes 250 readings per second and displays the minimum reading found when the transducer is removed.
  • Windows PC & OSX interface software

  • Large Digits: Standard thickness view; Digit Height: 0.700" (17.78mm)
  • B-Scan: Time based cross section view. Display speed variable (10 to 200 readings per second).
  • Scan Bar: Speed 10 Hz. Viewable B-Scan and Large Digit views.
  • Bar Graph: Indicates stability and measurement. Viewable in B-Scan and Large Digit views.
