High-Range Probes

Ideal for thick protective coatings such as epoxy, rubber, concrete liners, intumescent fireproofing and more.

FT, FTS, FTRS, FNTS Models

Range: 0-250 mils, 0-6 mm (0-6000 µm)

FKS, NKS

Range: 0-500 mils, 0-13 mm

FHXS Xtreme

Measure non-conductive coatings on steel substrates. Probe with Alumina wear face and braided cable for hot or rough surfaces up to 250° C (500° F).Compatible with PosiTector bodies with serial numbers greater than 700,000 and the new PosiTector SmartLink.

Range: 0-400 mils (0-10,000 µm)

FJS High-Range

Ideal for measuring thick epoxies, rubbers, fireproofing and other thick protective coatings applied to steel. Lightweight, ergonomic design - 66% smaller than comparable probes. Electro-magnetic probe is less susceptible to the effects of substrate roughness, curvature, material, and alloy.

Range: 0-1.0 in, 0-25 mm

FLS High-Range

Measures intumescent paint and other thick protective coatings on steel. Measures up to 38 mm (1.5 inches). Braided stainless steel cable - kink-proof, wear and cut resistant. Includes hard shell case and 19 mm (750 mil) shim. Compatible with PosiTector bodies with serial numbers greater than 700,000 and the new PosiTector SmartLink.

Range: 0-38 mm, 0-1.5 in

FNGS Ultra High-Range

Measures very thick coatings non-conductive coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates. Ideal for measuring ship hull coatings and thick intumescent paints. Measures up to 63.5 mm (2.5 inches). Braided stainless steel cable - kink-proof, wear and cut resistant. Long-lasting, low wear probe face to facilitate scanning of large surfaces. Includes a handle for easy one-handed operation. Compatible with PosiTector bodies with serial numbers greater than 700,000 and the new PosiTector SmartLink.

Range:  0-63.5 mm, 0-2.5 in

FNDS Duplex Coatings Probe

The PosiTector 6000 FNDS probe measures the individual thicknesses of both the paint and the zinc layers in a duplex coating system with a single reading. In Duplex mode, the PosiTector 6000 FNDS utilizes both magnetic (ferrous) and eddy current (non-ferrous) principles simultaneously to calculate and display the individual paint and zinc layer thicknesses. The magnetic principle is used to measure the combined paint/zinc thickness over the ferrous substrate, and the eddy current principle is used to measure the paint thickness over the non-ferrous zinc coating. The zinc thickness is calculated by subtracting the paint thickness from the combined paint/zinc thickness measurement. Compatible with PosiTector Advanced (serial numbers 730,000+) and PosiTector Standard gage bodies with a color display. A gage update may be required.

Range: 0-60 mils (0-1500 µm)
