Overview

The Sonatest PIM Immersion Transducer is high damped for a wide bandwidth, which provides excellent resolution with optimum sensitivity. It features a circular composite crystal and a face that is acoustically matched to water. This immersion transducer is ideal for flaw detection on piping and on-line thickness gauging.

Applications

The PIM Transducer is ideal for testing of critical components where the test parts are partially or wholly immersed in water. 

Common Applications Include:

  • High speed flaw detection in pipe, bar, tube, plate, and other similar components
  • On-line thickness gauging
  • Automated Scanning
