Overview

The Sonatest CD Dual Transducers are designed for applications requiring high near-surface resolution and for attenuative, noisy materials. The CD transducer is medium damped and features lead zirconate titanate crystal. This transducer is available in high temperature and short focus models.

  • Semi circular and rectangular lead zirconate titanate crystals
  • Max operating temperature 50°C / 120°F
  • High temperature options available up to 400°C / 752°F
  • Medium dampening for medium bandwidth 
  • Short focus shoe available

Applications

The CD Transducer is designed for improved penetration of noisy and attenuative material. It comes in a standard model, a short shoe focus model, and high temperature model. Common Applications include:

  • Near Surface Resolution Inspection
  • Castings and Forgings
  • General Thickness Inspection
