Overview

The Phoenix Creep Wave 2MHz and 4MHz Transducers are designed for near surface flaw detection on carbon steel material. Austenitic-application Transducers are available upon request. 

Features

  • Lemo 00 Connector
  • Hyper-sensitive to near-surface cracks while being relatively insensitive to surface condition (i.e., weld roots)
  • Re-conversion (inner creep wave) makes this transducer type sensitive to inner-surface breaking and cracks

Application

The Creep Wave Transducer is ideal for near-surface flaws where the material surface is not smooth. Common applications include:

  • Grain Welds
  • General Weld Inspection
