Replaceable Delay Line Transducers are highly damped – providing a broad band signal combined with the delay line for detecting near surface flaws or precision thickness gauging.

Applications

Cobra Replaceable Delay Line Transducers provide good near surface resolution and extended life when scanning materials with  rough and abrasive surfaces, such as casting and forgings. 

Delay lines are easily replaced allowing the transducer to be used for years. Other applications include:

  • Near surface detection of casting defects

  • Freight car wheel inspection

  • Corrosion inspection of ship hulls, tanks and pipelines
