Overview

Sonatest offers a range of TOFD probes in two different lines:

Integral – TOFD
The Integral TOFD probe solution provides unique benefits such as consistent sensitivity, the wedge and probe cannot be unscrewed during scanning and they are more robust as there isn’t any mechanical fixing of the wedge and transducer required.

LIMBOTOFD
The LIMBOTOFD is a unique low profile integral TOFD probe which is only 10 mm high allowing easy access to previously inaccessible areas which are currently untestable using conventional TOFD transducers.

Integral TOFD

  • Faster and easier setup time - no connection between transducer and wedge necessary

  • Reduces inspection cost - No need to implement other possible disruptive inspection methods such as Radiography
  • High signal to noise - Single cycle responsiveness using a 10 or 15 MHz
  • Integral Wedge - Unique patent pending design providing convenient use without the need to change wedges providing the assurance of the transducer / wedge couplant film
