Low Frequency Immersion Transducers

Low Frequency Immersion Transducers

Low Frequency Transducers For Use in Water and Other Non-Corrosive Liquids

Overview

Used in immersion tanks and squirter systems, these probes typically use water to couple ultrasound during testing and are applicable to nearly all materials that can withstand contact with water. Smaller sizes are provided with stainless steel housings, while sizes of 38 mm and up are provided with PEEK (Polyether ether ketone) housings. All units can be manufactured with a special spherical focus upon request.

Features

  • Wide range of low-frequency models available from 30 kHz to 500 kHz
  • Active diameters from 13 mm to 100 mm for both spot inspection and broad coverage
  • Manufactured with Ultran's patented gas matrix piezo-composite (GMP™) for high sensitivity and bandwidth
  • Top-mount UHF connectors standard; stainless steel housings on units 25 mm and smaller, PEEK housings on units 38 mm and larger
  • Optional spherical focus available on all units upon request
