These specimens can be used in conjunction with the following codes; AWS D1.1 & D1.5, ASME and API weld inspection.

"The Traveler II" CWI Visual Training Bend Kit

  • Material: Polyurethane (gray color)
    • Designed to be lightweight for ease of transport
  • 4 Specimens:
    • 2 Side Bend specimens with 4 bends each for a total of 8 Side Bends.
    • 2 Longitudinal Bend specimens with 4 bends each for a total of 8 Longitudinal Bends
    • All welds are a nominal Single V Groove bevel.
  • Flaws: Each specimen contains ~ 3 - 5 flaws for a total of 15+ flaws. Some bends have no flaws.
    • Flaws are intended to be "borderline" acceptable or rejectable.
    • The end user (CWI) must make this determination.
  • Document Package Includes: Certificate of Conformance, CAD Drawings & Test Sheets
  • Carrying Case: 20" x 18" x 10"
