PECT Thickness & Coating Probes

The following probes are used with CMX Series Thickness Gauges and provide high sensitivity measurements on bare and coated materials.

Measure Coating Thickness & Material Thickness in PECT mode (Pulse-Echo-Coating & Thickness mode) which provides sensitivity to pitting like flaws, that are not detectable in Echo-Echo (E-E) Thru-Coating Mode. 

Pulse-Echo-Coating Mode (PECT)

  • For Dakota CMX Gauges using Pulse-Echo-Coating Mode (PECT), CT Probes are needed.
  • The 5 Mhz 1/4" UT-DU-T-102-2900 is the default
  • The 7.5 MHz 3/16" UT-DU-T-101-3900 is used on small diameter tubes
  • The 3.5 MHz 1/2" UT-DU-T-104-9900 with Potted Side is used for thick tanks and plates
