The Dakota NDT R-9 Racing Engine Thickness Gauge is specially designed for the racing industry, and commonly used to measure the thickness of cylinder walls, head ports, decks, chassis tubing, body panels, and windshields.
An additional benefit is the dual element style of probe with the ability to locate blind surface corrosion or deterioration on the blind surface in the water jacket area prior to boring a cylinder or port. The R-9 has three material calibration options (single point, two point, and target velocity) for increased accuracy, and cylinder wall mapping software is available for manually creating reports.
