Performance & Simplicity

The ZX-3, ZX-5 & ZX-5 DL are basic dual element thickness gauges with the ability to locate blind surface pitting and internal defects / flaws in materials. They are capable of measuring the thickness of various materials with accuracy as high as ±0.001" (±0.01 mm). They offer a performance solution built to withstand the roughest industry conditions. The features included, plus a 5 year limited warranty, offer a quality tool that will meet or exceed your application requirements.

The ZX-5 Series has all the features of the ZX-3 plus these additional features:

  • Differential Mode: Displays the +/- difference from a nominal values entered
  • Alarm Mode: High and low alarm limits with audible and visual indicators
  • VX Velocity: Measures in terms of velocity for nodularity testing.

Pulse-Echo (P-E) Mode Thickness Gauges

The ZX gauges use the 0 – 1st Echo technique to measure remaining wall thickness on uncoated material. It can be used to measure thickness, detect internal pitting and measure when the opposite surface is highly corroded.
