Scientific Instruments' QB-2 Plus measures the duration of the magnetizing shot and provides a quantitative verification of the Quick Break function. Both shot time and Quick Break voltage are shown on the LCD Display after each shot event.
The QB-2 Plus can accurately verify the correct shot duration of AC, HWDC and FWDC equipment, and verify the Quick Break function on single phase and 3-phase FWDC units. The QB-2 probe is placed inside the coil (on in line with the cable wrap) during a magnetizing shot. Quick Break voltage and shot time are captured and displayed on the LCD display. Using the QB-2 Plus will help ensure residual field is properly developed during processing and gives sharper resolution of transverse indications.
