NDT Portable Darkroom & Accessories 

Overview

L&H offers 3 standard Mobile Darkroom Designs--all with a typical lifespan of over a decade. They are: 

  • 6'
  • 8' 
  • 8' Generator

These standardized models have a shorter lead time compared to custom, composite darkrooms. Express Delivery or On-Site Installation is available for all units.

6'

The 6' units are for use in Compact, Mid-Size, or Full-Size truck beds with a minimum bed-length requirement of 6'. This unit is most popular for pipeline work, where storage of other tools in a larger truck bed is desired. 

8'

The 8′ units give the technician the most room inside possible for them to work.  They also have the most storage inside of the unit.  For plant/ shop work, this unit is the most versatile mobile darkroom.

8' Generator

Identical to the 8' unit above, with the addition of a storage compartment on the drivers side for generator storage.  This unit is versatile as it allows you to have the interior space of an 8′ unit with the ability to equip your own power supply.

Darkroom Install & Delivery Options

Install Option

Free installation of unit at no additional cost when picked up at the L&H facility. Install includes:

  • Loading the darkroom to customer spec
  • Support spacer between the darkroom and cab side of bed to eliminate deforming between bed and cab
  • Stainless Steel 1/2″ bolts, nuts, and washers installed to help when it comes time to move the darkroom to the next truck

Delivery Option

Facilitated by L&H and shipped via Independent Carrier, you'll be sure to get the most competitive rate available.

  • This option means a self-install. For this, it is recommended to use stainless steel hardware when bolting to the vehicle
