Pacific NDT PiX 410C Curved DR Panel

Pacific NDT PiX 410C Curved DR Panel

ASME Section V DDA Compliance in an Innovative Design

Overview

Introducing PiX 410C: the most advanced bendable digital detector available on the market. The PiX 410C has the highest pixel pitch currently available for a bendable detector. It also comes with a rugged exterior case to withstand rigors of NDT use. Having a portable and lightweight form factor, its unique flexible design allows for reduced geometric distortion & enhanced detail resolution.

Features

  • Auto-Lock mechanism to prevent overextension and ensure safety
  • Meets ASME Section V requirements for DDA
  • Seamless connectivity with PiX Acquisition Software
  • Highest Pixel Pitch (99µm) currently available for for a bendable detector
  • Protective Armor for increased safety for user and device
  • A reduction of need for repeated exposures means minimized radiation exposure

Form Factor Exemplified

  • See the diagram to the left, which shows a comparison between traditional, rigid detectors and the PiX 410C. The contouring design ensures a larger surface area is covered in the imaging process, meaning more accurate readings every time.
  • Designed for pipes with a diameter of 5" (12.7cm) in mind, the PiX 410C excels in boiler pipelines and large cylindrical pipe inspection. Their rugged, flexible form guarantees a product longevity that is worth noting.

Applications

  • The broad application range of of the PiX 410C makes it suitable for a wide range of industries including oil and gas, aerospace, and manufacturing--where weld integrity is crucial.
  • The PiX 410C is an answer to imaging errors due to Flat Shooting X-Rays, where the lack of contour results in poor imaging from lack of consistent contact points. Refer to the figure to the left, where traditional, flat X-Ray technology produces skewed images. In comparison, the Bent Shooting X-Ray is able to produce a clear, undistorted image as a result of its form-fitting capabilities.
