Mash Hardness Tester
TKM-359CE Leeb Method

The TKM-359CE Leeb Method Hardness Tester is made for fast and simple hardness measurements in manufacturing, and field conditions.
Features:
| - Easy to use
- Ruggedly builts
- Intuitive graphic interface
- Bright color graphic display that allows measurements at below freezing temperatures and it stays bright in any lighting
- Unique system for statistical data processing and averaging of readings
- Special calibration for non-standard materials with one or two known hardness references
- Memory for recorded readings and their analysis
- Fast programming of additional scales with one or two standard test blocks
- Stable measurements independent from force and time of pressing the probe to surface
- Low sensitivity to curvature and roughness of surface
- Monitoring of hardness change along surface
- Control of "volumetric" hardness
- Wide range of metals and alloys
|
TKM-359CE Leeb Tester Applications:
| - All basic types of metals and alloys without
additional calibrations (structural, tool, heat-proof, non-corrosive steels, and alloys, as well as alloys of nonferrous metals, cast-iron, aluminum, bronze, brass) - Items with surface hardening and induction hardening
- Items of complicated configuration
- Heavy and big items with rough surface
|
Testing Requirements:
| - Items heavier than 11 lb. (5 kg) and thicker than 0.24” (6 mm) need no additional preparation
- Hard items (ex. tubes) with expected hardness from 90 to 250 HB and thicker than 0.16” (4 mm) need no additional preparation
- Other items should be fixed on a support plate by fixing paste
|
Hardness Tester Modes |
Measurement Mode | Readings | Using |
By basic scales | Basic hardness units (HRC, HB, HV) | Hardness testing of the bulk of products |
By additional calibration to basic scales | By HRA, HRB, HSD scales and ultimate tensile strength | Hardness testing of high-alloy steels, special cast iron and nonferrous metals |
By additional scales | Scales are programmed by the user | Special problem solving |
The parameters of the statistical processing of measurements
| - Maximum, minimum, mean value, standard deviation from the mean
- The average deviation from the values set by a user, results are plus or minus standard value, the maximum deviation in the large/smaller side of the value
- Number of results outside the upper/lower limit of range (user specified), maximum deviation from the upper/lower border
- Automatic rejection of bad or incorrect measurements
- Comparison measurement results of a series of measurements (the comparison charts on the display of the hardness tester)
