The automation of magnetic particle inspection is often necessary to permit tmm-mp500-5ac

inspection at the required production rate. Loading, processing, conveying, rotating or manipulating, demagnetization and discharge can all be automated, which results in consistent and effortless processing. The inspector can devote all of his time to actual visual inspection while the machine performs the other functions. Production rates are achieved by having the various functions performed simultaneously at different stations.

This specially designed test bench has two magnetization facilities tmm-mp500-5ac which are current flow and field flux. Four test pieces can be tested at the same time. Test cycles are 4 parts per 16 seconds. Each current flow magnetization circuit is connected to a transformator, which produces peak 2500 amperes AC, effectively 1800 ampere AC current.

Longitudinal magnetization is applied by electromagnetic yokes. Each yoke provides up to 15000 ampere turns of magnetizing field flux. Demagnetization is carried out automatically.

Test parts are manually loaded to the fixtures which are mounted on the modular conveyor belt. The conveyor is driven by a geared motor. When test pieces are carried to the test point, the parts which have been tested are carried to the control area by the same motion.
