The P-1500 is a portable power pack that is a convenient and economical inspection unit used in a wide range of magnetic particle applications that require only moderate power. It is ideal for inspecting large or heavy parts, in service mobile equipment or job site weld testing with magnetic particle NDT method. The P-1500 finds surface defects with AC current and can switch cable connection to half wave DC (HWDC) for near-surface flaws. It locates defects in any direction using prods, central conductors and coils, by wrapping the part with 3 - 5 turns of the cable. Comes complete with a 15 ft. (4.5m) remote control cable.
