Overview

The perfect accessory for the AccuMAX Series meter and ideal for technicians performing radiographic examinations. The AccuMAX XS-555/L luminance sensor detector measures the brightness of a visible light source and, unlike many competitive units, allows the user the choice of displaying the results in three distinct units of measure: candelas per square meter (cd/m2), candelas per square foot (cd/ft2) and footlamberts (fL).

Note that items are purchased a la carte. Minimum requirement is the XR-1000 Readout Unit + XS-555/L Luminance Sensor. All other items are optional.

Sensor Guard Upgrade

Spectro-UV now offer an optional Sensor Guard into the XS-555/L Luminance Sensor Detector. This Sensor upgrade is perfect for technicians using the XS-555/L for testing of Computed Radiography (CR) Monitors In Accordance With ASTM-E-2033-17 Paragraph 6.1.8. The upgrade enhances the performance of the sensor while taking monitor readings.

The inclusion of the Sensor Guard provides key advantages:

  • Enhanced Performance: The Sensor Guard provides for even more accurate and reliable readings ensuring optimal performance. The Sensor Guard provides for a tighter seal against ambient light. Decreased ambient light reduces the variability of readings, especially relative to the low contrast resolution readings.
  • Surface Protection: The Sensor Guard acts as a softer interface between the sensor and the monitor and reduces the likelihood of scratching.
