elektro-physik-2500-4500

The MiniTest 2500 and MiniTest 4500 coating thickness gauges measure with either magnetic induction or the eddy current principle and offer a large range of probes, different calibration methods and evaluation options for a wide range of tasks in the field of coating measurements.

MiniTest 2500 and 4500 coating thickness gauges are not only useful in a lab but are equally qualified for use in industrial applications thanks to their rugged housing and IP65 rating. Both models are equipped with data memory for storage of up to 2 million measured values either taken in direct mode (MiniTest 2500) or categorized in an APPLICATION-BATCH memory structure (MiniTest 4500). Both models offer data transfer to a PC via USB interface; the MiniTest 4500 additionally offers Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer to mobile devices and printers directly on site. All gauge functions can be triggered directly pressing a single key on the illuminated keypad. The large display with background illumination add a high level of user comfort and ergonomics. A broad selection of measuring sensors are available allowing the MiniTest 2500/4500 to handle standard applications as well as more complex measuring tasks.

There are 3 sensor types available:

  • F-type Sensors: Uses the magnetic induction principle to measure non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates.
  • N-type Sensors: Uses the eddy current principle to measure non-conductive coatings on all non-ferrous substrates.
  • F/N-type Sensors: Combines both principles for measuring coatings over both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. These sensors have an auto-recognize feature, whereby they recognize the substrate and automatically switch to the appropriate measuring principle.

Features:

  • Wide range of wear resistant probes adaptable to varied applications
  • Universal probes with automatic substrate detection allows quick measurement on steel and non-ferrous metals.
  • Wear resistant special probes with virtually unlimited lifespan
  • Heat resistant probes for temperatures up to 250°C and 350°C
  • Pencil shaped probes to measure in tubes and pipes
  • High accuracy in measurement and repeatability
  • Storage and evaluation of measured values
  • Special Calibration function for rough surfaces and calibration through known coatings (CTC method) - (MiniTest 4500 only).
