The Multielement Bead Seat Wheel Probe has 4 connectors and is designed to be used on a standard EC instrument. It can be adjusted to fit any wheel and bead seat area. It fits most tube walls, beat seat radii and beat seat inspections. Adjustment of inspection positions, for tube wall, beat seat and beat seat radius are required. The probe is for small wheel and brake shops with low numbers of wheels. The initial design was for a Honeywell wheel for an Airbus A330. Probes can be designed for any wheel required with customer supplied wheel section.
The multi-element bead seat wheel probe has 4 elements for inspection of multiple locations on the wheel.
The probe or wheel will be rotated one full turn around the wheel, then move the cable to the next coil and rotate probe or wheel one full turn again. Repeat as necessary to complete the inspection.
