Overview

The DSDC-5 Pipeline Demagnetizing System is a highly-portable unit for pre-weld demagnetization passes on pipes. 

The DSCDC-5 is ideal for overcoming obstacles associated with residual magnetization including: 

  • Trial and error methods that can take hours or days to make the root pass
  • PIGs leaving significant amounts of residual magnetism behind
  • Regulatory requirements increasing the frequency of inspections
  • Burning out welding equipment and/or cables trying to overcome magnetism

Features

  • Operation is simple with the newly designed instrument panel only one switch and one knob
  • The Pipeline Demagnetizing Kit weighs 80 lbs., (~36 kg), 22”X25”X15”. Operates from either 110 volt or 220 volt power supply

EXP-1 for Highly Magnetized, >32" Diameter Pipes

Double the Power & Increase the Duty Cycle with the Expansion Box (EXP-1)for the DSDC-5. The EXP-1 allows a weld pass to be made quickly, efficiently and with full quality on highly magnetized pipes (500G or higher) or those that are 32” and larger in diameter. Expansion kit weighs 67lbs., (~  30 kg), 22”X25”X15”
