The rugged, fully electronic PosiTector 6000 Paint Thickness Gage uses magnetic and eddy current principles to measure paint thickness on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, accurately and quickly. The gauge is ready to measure; no calibration adjustment required for most applications. Features a new larger 2.8" impact resistant color touchscreen with redesigned keypad for quick menu navigation, weatherproof, dustproof, and water-resistant IP65-rated enclosure, and wear resistant ruby probe tip for long-lasting calibration.
The PosiTector body is an interchangeable platform for maximum versatility; attach any PosiTector probe to a single gage body. Includes USB, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity to PosiSoft PC, Mac, and Smartphone software. Certificate of Calibration showing traceability to NIST or PTB included (Long Form).
Maximum Versatility
PosiTector body accepts all PosiTector 6000, 200, RTR, SPG, DPM, IRT, SST, UTG, SHD, BHI, and GLS probes easily converting from a coating thickness gage to a surface profile gage, dew point meter, soluble salt tester, ultrasonic wall thickness gage, hardness tester, or gloss meter.
DeFelsko continuously improves and expands its PosiTector platform, and new probes sometimes require technologies that are not available on older gage bodies. The below chart is a quick reference to determine compatibility, based on the gage body serial number.
The PosiTector 6000 consists of a body and a probe. Probes have a heavy-duty, gold-plated locking connector for industrial environments and include a 2 year warranty and Certificate of Calibration. Each probe retains its own unique calibration information (allowing full probe interchangeability). A wide selection of interchangeable probes are available.
Styles include Integral Probes, Cabled Regular Probes, Xtreme Probes for hot or rough surfaces, Cabled 90° Regular Probes, Cabled FNDS Probes for Duplex Coatings, Cabled 0°, 45° and 90° Microprobes, Cabled 90° Extended Length Microprobes, High-Range Probes, and more.
