Overview

The PosiTector 200 is a coating thickness gage for non-metal substrates. Non-destructively measures a wide variety of applications using proven ultrasound technology. Measure coating thickness over wood, concrete, plastic, and more. Advanced models measure up to 3 layers with graphics. The gauge is ready to measure; no calibration adjustment required for most applications. Features a new larger 2.8" impact resistant color touchscreen with redesigned keypad for quick menu navigation, weatherproof, dustproof, and water-resistant IP65-rated enclosure.

The PosiTector body is an interchangeable platform for maximum versatility; attach any PosiTector probe to a single gage body. Includes USB, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity to PosiSoft PC, Mac, and Smartphone software. Certificate of Calibration showing traceability to NIST or PTB included (Long Form).

PosiTector Advanced Body Features

The PosiTector body is available in two versions, Standard and Advanced. The Advanced body has all of the features above, plus:

  • Measure the total thickness of a coating system or up to 3 individual layer thicknesses in a multi-layer system.
  • Graphics mode with screen capture for detailed analysis of the coating system
  • Storage of 250,000 readings in up to 1,000 batches and sub-batches
  • Prompted Batch Mode — create pre-defined batches with on-screen text and image prompts for each reading
  • SSPC-PA 9 modes help users comply with standards by prompting for min/max specifications, displaying the necessary readings, and automatically calculating statistics with a pass/fail result
  • Touchscreen keyboard for quickly renaming batches, adding notes, and more
  • Multiple stored calibration adjustments for measuring on a variety of coating applications
  • Integrate with third-party software, drones, ROVs, PLCs, and robotic devices using several industry-standard communication protocols

Maximum Versatility

PosiTector body accepts all PosiTector 6000, 200, RTR, SPG, DPM, IRT, SST, UTG, SHD, BHI, and GLS probes easily converting from a coating thickness gage to a surface profile gage, dew point meter, soluble salt tester, ultrasonic wall thickness gage, hardness tester, or gloss meter.

DeFelsko continuously improves and expands its PosiTector platform, and new probes sometimes require technologies that are not available on older gage bodies. The below chart is a quick reference to determine compatibility, based on the gage body serial number.
