Overview

WDV Series Coils offer a powerful full wave DC output, an optional AC output, and an exclusive Pulse DC option, which emulates a half wave DC magnetizing field to aid in particle mobility. Features numerous mechanical options for protection, convenience and fixturing. These heavy duty coils are set apart from any other type of coil, cable wrap, or mobile power supply with an unparalleled reputation for their portability and ability for performing DC demagnetization. Commonly referred to as End Area Coils, the WDV Series is also large enough to provide pre-weld demagnetization of line pipes for pipelines and other process applications.

 

 

Features

  • 6 ID sizes: 8.5" (216 mm), 10.5" (267 mm), 14" (368 mm), 16" (406 mm), 18" (457 mm), and 25" (635 mm)
  • DC output greater than 1,000 Amp Turns per inch of ID, meeting the most stringent specifications
  • Top mounted power supply to provide the operator with infinite variable control of the DC output
  • Digital Amp Meter for constant reading and solid state electronic controls
  • Manual Reversing DC Demagnetization capabilities
  • Polarity Switch for reversing DC demag - reduces the amperage followed by a brief energizing pulse, repeats reducing and reversing until the field is reduced to an acceptable level
  • AC Option for demagnetizing small parts or inspecting with an AC Field - output of 0 to 5,000 Amp Turns
  • Pulsed DC Option to aid particle mobility, when selected the coil is turned on approximately 80 times per minute with fully adjustable output
  • Operate from 115 VAC / 60Hz or 230 VAC / 50 Hz power
  • Applications: Industry standard for Fracturing and Cementing Connections (Hammer Unions and Fittings), testing and demagnetizing Castings and Forgings, testing and DC demagnetization for Aircraft Service Centers
