ScanTech X2 Spider Remote Tank and Vessel Scanner
The X2 Spider is a 3rd generation, remote scanner capable of ultrasonic corrosion inspection for tanks, pipes and vessels. The X2 Spider is a highly maneuverable system capable of transversing difficult obstructions made possible by the high suspension compliance. It is designed with a proprietary direct drive gear set and does not use any belts, chains, set screws, or clamps, which elminates slippage.
The unit is completely sealed from the environment and has a hard coat anodized exterior to reduce environmental wear on the system. The scanner utilizese rare earth magnet motors with the highest power density available to provide a high-performing crawler. Single and dual element transducers are included in the system to adjust for variable conditions.

X Controller / UT Instrument
The ScanTech X Controller has been developed over the past 3 years to be an all inclusive controller system, able to drive the XR, Near Drum, tank and D2S crawler systems with the ability to upgrade the controller as needed. Inside is an integrated UT machine and all UT functions are controlled easily from an intuitive interface in our Analyst X software. During the scanning process, every A-Scan is captured and recorded for further analysis. Re-gating the A-Scan after the scan is done, will help recover areas in the past that were hard to get good data return on.
