A.I.M. Waste Water Processing

A.I.M. Waste Water Processing

Overview

Penetrant Waste Water Treatment Systems specifically designed for fluorescent penetrant inspection systems. There are three systems available: the Activated Carbon Water-Wash System (CDFS-CL) and the Clean to Drain System that are designed to be used with water-washable fluorescent penetrant equipment, and the Coalescer Post-Emulsified System (CFS-CL) that is designed for post emulsifiable fluorescent penetrant equipment. Built with stainless steel and a rugged base frame. Includes a 2 Year Warranty.

Activated Carbon Water-Wash System (CDFS-CL)

The CDFS-CL is a water filtration system designed for use in conjunction with water-washable fluorescent penetrant inspection equipment. The system will receive the penetrant laden effluent, clean it to a state suitable for reuse, store it while treating with ozone and then pump it back to the FPI rinse station rinse gun or nozzle manifold. The heart of this system is the pair of activated carbon absorbers (carbon drums) and the pump that circulates the effluent through them. The stainless steel tanks, ozone generator, valves, floats and switches are all part of the water management system that make the unit a “closed loop” system. There are built-in features that detect and prevent possible overflows and also systems that prevent pump burnout caused by running dry. The entire system is built from materials and components that are proven to be compatible with the chemicals used in the FPI process. A rugged base frame featuring a built in stainless steel drip pan is used to mount all of the system components.

Coalescer Post-Emulsified System (CFS-CL)

The CFS-CL is a water filtration system designed for use in conjunction with a post emulsifiable fluorescent penetrant inspection process and is not designed to be used with water washable penetrants. The system will receive the penetrant laden effluent, clean it to a state suitable for reuse, store it while treating with ozone and then pump it back to the FPI rinse station rinse gun or nozzle manifold. The heart of this system is a set of filter cartridges contained in three pressure vessels which make up the two-stage coalescar system. The first vessel is a 25 micron pre-filter with the following two vessels utilized to separate and remove non-soluble oils, solids and entrained air. The 1st stage coalescer filter vessel separates the majority of the penetrant oil and utilizes an oil sensor to automatically discharge the separated oil to a customer supplied holding tank for disposal. The 2nd stage coalescer filter vessel receives substantially less oil and acts as a polishing filter. The water is then discharged to the stainless steel clean tank where bubbled ozone is introduced to provide further treatment.

Clean to Drain System

Typically used in low volume applications, this system is an activated carbon type that will receive the effluent, filter it, and remove the oils and dye associated with FPI processing.

Standard Features:

  • The entire system is mounted on a single skid
  • The system is protected from leaks and spills by a built in stainless steel drip pan
  • Floats switches and controls protect the system from overflows or pump burnout
  • Dual carbon drums feature quick-disconnect hose fittings
  • Inbound waste stream pump
  • Water tank is fabricated from heavy gauge stainless steel
  • Wash down rated control box
